01 / OUR HISTORY

90 years walking hand in hand with "measuring"

Since its founding in 1913 and its establishment in 1936, Chino has walked hand in hand with measurement technologies, including temperature. While expanding its business areas in response to changing times, Chino has accumulated technologies that support industry and society.

1936 2026

1936

Chino Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was established.

Established as the company that would become the current CHINO Corporation, it marked the beginning of a long journey with its "measuring" technology.

1962

Listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

As our business grew, we expanded our corporate foundation, and subsequently continued to expand our technological and business areas.

1980s

To overseas, and to "Chino"

The company established a US subsidiary in 1983. In 1986, it changed its name to CHINO Corporation.

1994

Towards a system that supports the reliability of measurements

Our standard laboratory has obtained national accreditation as a thermometer calibration laboratory and certified service provider.

2000s

Expanding the scope of measurement

While expanding our business base both domestically and internationally, we have developed technologies and business areas related to measurement, control, and monitoring.

2026

90th anniversary

Based on the technology and experience we have accumulated so far, we will move forward to the next 100 years and beyond.
