Dew condensation monitoring solution realized with the "MZ Series" data logger and "CISAS" monitoring software.

Prevent dew condensation in warehouses, factories, and greenhouses, thus preventing quality deterioration and equipment malfunctions.

Are you experiencing any of these "dew condensation" problems on-site?

  • Warehouses and truck yards: We want to prevent condensation from dew condensation stored goods to get wet, moldy, and weaken the cardboard boxes.
  • Factory/Equipment: We want to prevent rust, short circuits, and equipment problems caused by dew condensation on walls and equipment.
  • Agriculture/Greenhouses: We want to reduce the risk of crop diseases caused by dew condensation (dripping) inside greenhouses.

dew condensation occurs when the dew point temperature, calculated from the temperature and relative humidity, falls below the surface temperature of the object (such as a wall or glass).
Chino proposes environmental monitoring that visualizes this invisible "dew condensation risk."

Chino's "dew condensation Monitoring" System (MZ Series × CISAS)

The "MZ series" data logger simultaneously measures "temperature/humidity," and "surface temperature."

To monitor dew condensation, it's important to simultaneously capture not only the indoor temperature/humidity, but also the surface temperature of areas where you don't want dew condensation to occur.

  • temperature/humidity data: Temperature and relative humidity are measured, and the monitoring software computation the "dew point temperature" in real time.
  • Surface temperature data: Sensors installed on walls, glass surfaces, etc., accurately measure the "surface temperature".

Four-stage visualization of dew condensation risk using monitoring software "CISAS"

The computation the difference between the measured "surface temperature" and "dew point temperature" in real time and clearly display dew condensation risk on a graphic screen (dew condensation monitoring monitor) using a unique index (4 levels).

The difference between surface temperature and dew point temperature status dew condensation risk
+3℃ or higher Almost safe No worries about dew condensation.
+1〜3℃ Note dew condensation conditions are approaching.
0〜+1℃ Caution Conditions that make dew condensation likely to occur
Below 0℃ dew condensation occurs Surface temperature < Dew point temperature (dew condensation is occurring)

* dew condensation monitoring indicator is our company's own proprietary indicator.

Case studies of implementation and demonstration at internal company locations

We have introduced the 'MZ Series' and 'CISAS' at our own facilities (Yamagata Plant) and demonstration houses, and are using them to properly manage the environment and prevent dew condensation on site.

Case Study 1: Warehouse/Truck Yard (Monitoring dew condensation on Walls)

  • Measurement targets: Wall temperature and internal temperature/humidity of the truck yard.
  • Situation: The difference between the wall surface temperature (20.3°C) and the dew point temperature (2.5°C) is "+17.8°C," indicating a "nearly safe" condition, which was confirmed in real time. This helps prevent deterioration of product and building quality.

Case Study 2: Demonstration House/Greenhouse (Monitoring dew condensation on Glass Surfaces)

  • Measurement targets: Surface temperature of greenhouse glass and temperature/humidity inside the greenhouse.
  • Situation: The difference between the glass surface temperature (4.0°C) and the dew point temperature (4.4°C) was "-0.4°C," indicating that dew condensation was occurring. Taking early countermeasures will reduce the risk of disease outbreaks.

Key products that configuration the system

Wireless data logger "MZ series"

temperature/humidity model / Thermistor external model / resistance thermometer model

It is easy to install and offers flexible support for measuring indoor temperature/humidity, as well as attaching and mounting surface temperature sensors to objects (walls, glass, etc.).

Integrated non-programming monitoring software "CISAS"

This monitoring software allows you to easily set up real-time on-site monitoring, alarm generation, trend graph display, and data storage.
